The beautiful train of eyespot feathers of peacock in the shape of a circle is suggestive of historical significance of the district of Mayurbhanj which was once ruled by the king of Bhanja dynasty. The open book together with the quill dipped in ink implies the readiness on the part of the learner for the quest of knowledge and his power of expression. The process of learning can be accomplished through a constant awareness of the divinity in us. The idea is hinted in the presence of sacred harp which reminds us of divine presence of goddess of learning –MAA BINAPANI.The hills and the fountain in the background represent Devkund Waterfall near Devi Ambika Mata temple suggestive of the scenic ranges and valleys of Similipahar stretching across the district of Mayurbhanj to which the institution belongs.
